Song Review: Diet Cig Releases New Single, "Night Terrors," and Announce UK Tour

Diet Cig releases their new single, “Night Terrors,” which is the band’s first since 2017. “Night Terrors” has the sound of an old 90’s movie, but the lyrics are far from it. Alex Luciano, the vocalist and guitarist, says that the songs are about very real night terrors.

The lyrics are very raw and the emotion stays consistent throughout the song. The sound is more upbeat, giving a very hopeful outlook to the night terrors. There is a fear within the lyrics about having meaningful relationships about them. It shows a sense of worry that people with night terrors face: will people stay around for these uncomfortable moments?

Diet Cig does a good job of keeping a positive message about the fear that comes with night terrors. The music behind it helps to show a hopeful and optimistic outlook.

Diet Cig also released dates for a UK tour that starts in May.
